Centwin 20 mg/500 mg/40 mg Tablet can be taken it with or without food, although it's advisable to take it consistently at the same time.
How Centwin Tablet works Centwin 20 mg/500 mg/40 mg Tablet is a combination of three medicines: Dicyclomine, Paracetamol and Simethicone. Dicyclomine is an antispasmodic which works by relaxing the muscles in your stomach and gut (intestine). It stops sudden muscle contractions (spasms), thereby relieving abdominal cramps and pain. Paracetamol is an analgesic (pain reliever). It blocks the release of certain chemical messengers in the brain that cause pain. Simethicone is an antifoaming medicine which disintegrates gas bubbles and allows easy passage of gas.
Unsafe: Avoid consuming alcohol with Centwin 20 mg/500 mg/40 mg Tablet as it is deemed unsafe.
Centwin 20 mg/500 mg/40 mg Tablet is generally considered safe to use during pregnancy. Animal studies have shown low or no adverse effects to the developing baby; however, there are limited human studies.
Centwin 20 mg/500 mg/40 mg Tablet is probably unsafe to use during breastfeeding. Limited human data suggests that the drug may pass into the breastmilk and harm the baby.
It is not known whether Centwin 20 mg/500 mg/40 mg Tablet alters the ability to drive. Do not drive if you experience any symptoms that affect your ability to concentrate and react.
Centwin 20 mg/500 mg/40 mg Tablet should be used with caution in patients with kidney disease. Dose adjustment of Centwin 20 mg/500 mg/40 mg Tablet may be needed. Doctor consultation is advised.
Centwin 20 mg/500 mg/40 mg Tablet should be used with caution in patients with liver disease. Dose adjustment of Centwin 20 mg/500 mg/40 mg Tablet may be needed. Doctor consultation is advised.However, the use of Centwin 20 mg/500 mg/40 mg Tablet is not recommended in patients with severe liver disease and active liver disease.
If a dose of Centwin 20 mg/500 mg/40 mg Tablet is missed, take it promptly. However, if your next dose is approaching, skip the missed dose and resume your regular schedule. Avoid doubling the dose.
