It works by reducing substances in the body that causes pain and swelling. Chymotin AP 100mg/325mg Capsule also reduces fever associated with various painful conditions within 1-2 hour of taking a dose.

Chymotin AP 100mg/325mg Capsule is a combination of three medicines: Aceclofenac, Paracetamol and Trypsin Chymotrypsin, which relieves pain. Aceclofenac is a non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID) and Paracetamol is an antipyretic (fever reducer). They work by blocking the release of certain chemical messengers in the brain that cause pain and fever. Trypsin Chymotrypsin is a combination of enzymes which break down proteins into smaller fragments, thereby making them available for absorption into the blood. Once absorbed, they increase blood supply in the affected area and reduce swelling.

Alcohol

Unsafe: Avoid consuming alcohol with Chymotin AP 100mg/325mg Capsule as it is deemed unsafe.

Pregnancy

Doctor consultation is advised. Use of Chymotin AP 100mg/325mg Capsule is not recommended in patients with severe kidney disease.

Liver

Caution Advised: Chymotin AP 100mg/325mg Capsule should be used with caution in patients with liver disease. Dose adjustment of Chymotin AP 100mg/325mg Capsule may be needed. Doctor consultation is advised. However, the use of Chymotin AP 100mg/325mg Capsule is not recommended in patients with severe liver disease and active liver disease.

If a dose of Chymotin AP 100mg/325mg Capsule is missed, take it promptly. However, if your next dose is approaching, skip the missed dose and resume your regular schedule. Avoid doubling the dose.

Store in a cool and dry place, and keep the temperature below 30�C

You have been prescribed this combination medicine for relieving pain and inflammation. Take it with food to avoid getting an upset stomach. It may cause dizziness and sleepiness. Don't drive or do anything that requires mental focus until you know how it affects you. Avoid consuming alcohol when taking Chymotin AP 100mg/325mg Capsule as it may cause excessive drowsiness and increase the risk of liver damage. Do not take it with any other medicine containing acetaminophen (drugs for pain/fever or cough-and-cold) without asking your doctor first.
