CST Lotion is a combination of three medicines: Clobetasol, Salicylic Acid and Coal Tar which treat psoriasis. Clobetasol is a steroid medicine. It blocks the production of certain chemical messengers (prostaglandins) that make the skin red, swollen and itchy. Salicylic Acid and Coal Tar are keratolytic medicines which break down keratin clumps, remove dead skin cells and soften the skin.
