It cures the infection by stopping further growth of the causative microorganisms.Moxival 0.5% Injection is given as an injection into a vein (intravenous), in cases where oral administration is not possible, such as in hospitalized or unconscious patients. How Moxival Injection works Moxival 0.5% Injection is an antibiotic. It works by stopping the action of a bacterial enzyme called DNA-gyrase. This prevents the bacterial cells from dividing and repairing, thereby killing them.
Alcohol

Pregnancy
Moxival 0.5% Injection may be unsafe to use during pregnancy. Although there are limited studies in humans, animal studies have shown harmful effects on the developing baby. Your doctor will weigh the benefits and any potential risks before prescribing it to you. Doctor consultation is advised.
Breast feeding
Moxival 0.5% Injection is probably unsafe to use during breastfeeding. Limited human data suggests that the drug may pass into the breastmilk and harm the baby.
Driving

Kidney
Moxival 0.5% Injection is safe to use in patients with kidney disease. No dose adjustment of Moxival 0.5% Injection is recommended.However, inform your doctor if you have any underlying kidney disease.
Liver
Moxival 0.5% Injection should be used with caution in patients with severe liver disease. Dose adjustment of Moxival 0.5% Injection may be needed. Doctor consultation is advised.Limited information is available on the use of Moxival 0.5% Injection in these patients. No dose adjustment is recommended in patients with mild to moderate liver disease.

You have been prescribed Moxival 0.5% Injection for the treatment of bacterial infections of the eye. Do not skip any doses and finish the full course of treatment even if you feel better. Apply pressure on the corner of the eye (close to the nose) for about 1 minute, immediately after instilling the medication. Do not touch the tip to any surface, or to your eye, to avoid contamination. Wait for at least 5-10 minutes before delivering the next medication in the same eye to avoid dilution. It may cause short-term blurring of vision when first used. Use caution before driving or using machines. Do not wear contact lenses until your infection clears up. Make sure to use it within 4 weeks of opening the medication.
