How Nicotrom Tablet works Nicotrom 2mg Tablet is an oral anticoagulant. It acts by preventing the formation of harmful blood clots. Although it does not dissolve the existing blood clots, it inhibits them from growing larger and causing serious problems.
Alcohol
Unsafe: Avoid consuming alcohol with Nicotrom 2mg Tablet as it is deemed unsafe.
Pregnancy

Breast feeding
Nicotrom 2mg Tablet is probably safe to use during breastfeeding. Limited human data suggests that the drug does not represent any significant risk to the baby.
Driving
Nicotrom 2mg Tablet does not usually affect your ability to drive.

Nicotrom 2mg Tablet should be used with caution in patients with kidney disease. Dose adjustment of Nicotrom 2mg Tablet may be needed. Doctor consultation is advised.Use of this medicine is not recommended in patients with severe kidney disease.
Liver
Nicotrom 2mg Tablet should be used with caution in patients with liver disease. Dose adjustment of Nicotrom 2mg Tablet may be needed. Doctor consultation is advised.Use of this medicine is not recommended in patients with severe liver disease.
If you forget a dose of Nicotrom 2mg Tablet , simply continue with your regular schedule and do not take a double dose.
You have been prescribed Nicotrom 2mg Tablet to help prevent blood clots. For best results, take�it at the same time every day. Your doctor may get regular blood tests done to make sure Nicotrom 2mg Tablet is working properly. Nicotrom 2mg Tablet increases your risk of bleeding. Be careful while shaving, cutting fingernails or toenails, using sharp objects or engaging in contact sports (e.g. football, wrestling). Notify your doctor if you see blood in your vomit, urine or stool (black, tarry stools or bright red blood). Avoid making sudden major changes to your diet during treatment with this medicine. If you are going to have a surgery or dental treatment, you may be asked to stop taking Nicotrom 2mg Tablet temporarily. Do not consume alcohol while taking Nicotrom 2mg Tablet as this may increase its side effects. Do not discontinue use without consulting your doctor as this may increase your chances of having another heart attack or stroke.
