Novamox AX 250 mg/30 mg Tablet contains two different medicines, Amoxycillin and Ambroxol, that work together to kill the bacteria that cause respiratory tract infections. Amoxycillin works by stopping the growth of bacteria. Ambroxol helps to loosen thick mucus, making it easier to cough out. This makes it easier for air to move in and out. It also enhances the activity of Amoxycillin against bacteria. It usually makes you feel better within a few days, but you should continue taking it as prescribed even when you feel better to make sure that all bacteria are killed and do not become resistant.

Take your medication timely to maintain steady levels in your body. Do not skip any doses and finish the full course of treatment even if you feel better. Stopping it early may make the infection come back and harder to treat. Discontinue Novamox AX 250 mg/30 mg Tablet and inform your doctor immediately if you get a rash, itchy skin, swelling of face and mouth, or have difficulty in breathing. Diarrhea might occur as a side effect of a medicine. Drink plenty of fluids or inform your doctor if it bothers you. Avoid consuming alcohol while taking medication as it may cause increased side effects Inform your doctor if you are pregnant, planning pregnancy or breastfeeding.
