Ofoxx-M Oral Suspension is given to children for the treatment of bacterial infections of the teeth, lungs, gastrointestinal tract, urinary tract, and genital tract. This medicine is also given as an empirical antibiotic for infected diarrhea mixed with blood and serious infections like peritonitis.Give Ofoxx-M Oral Suspension to your child orally, preferably at a fixed time, either before or after meals. In case your child develops a stomach upset, prefer giving it with meals. Generally, this medicine is prescribed to be given two times a day, in the morning and evening. If your child vomits within 30 minutes of intake, repeat the same dose but do not double the dose if it is time for the next dose. Never change the dose, time, and way prescribed by the doctor since these depend upon the type and severity of the infection, your child�s age, and body weight.In some cases, this medicine may cause some minor and temporary side effects, including nausea, vomiting, weight loss, metallic taste, headache, loss of appetite, abdominal cramps, and mild skin rash. These infections may include tooth abscess, gum infection, pneumonia, diarrhea, dysentery, burning sensation while passing urine, and genital tract infection. Ofoxx-M Oral Suspension inhibits the growth of infection-causing organisms by stopping them from multiplying. It is most likely that your child?s infection will start showing improvement within 3 to 5 days of the regular dosing. Make sure to complete the full course of treatment even if your child feels better. Stopping the medicine abruptly by yourself may worsen your child?s condition or cause infection recurrence. In Treatment of Diarrhea Diarrhea is an increase in the frequency of bowel movements or loose watery bowel movements. It can most commonly occur due to an infection of the digestive tract. Diarrhea is a common side effect of this medicine. If it occurs, make sure your child drinks plenty of water. Your child may have an altered taste or furry tongue (coating of Ofoxx-M Oral Suspension on tongue) after taking Ofoxx-M Oral Suspension. Eating citrus fruit or sipping plenty of water or fruit juice may help. Do not give any calcium, magnesium, iron, vitamin, or antacid within 2 hours of taking Ofoxx-M Oral Suspension as these can affect the absorption of the medicine. Never use this medicine for the common cold and flu as they are caused by viruses and Ofoxx-M Oral Suspension treats only bacterial infections. Discontinue Ofoxx-M Oral Suspension and inform the doctor immediately if your child develops a rash, itchy skin, swelling of face and mouth, or has difficulty in breathing. Only give Ofoxx-M Oral Suspension to your child for their current infection. Never save medicine for future illnesses.
