Primarid 2.5mg Tablet helps treat and prevent the recurrence of malaria in children. It is usually given in combination with other antimalarial medicines. It works by killing the malaria-causing parasites and stops the infection from spreading.Give Primarid 2.5mg Tablet to your child by mouth, preferably with food, to reduce the chance of an upset stomach. The dose depends on your child�s weight and the type of malaria-causing parasite. Give Primarid 2.5mg Tablet regularly, at about the same time each day, for as long as your doctor tells you to, even if your child seems well. Stopping it early can result in treatment failure and increase the side effects too. If your child vomits within 30 minutes of taking Primarid 2.5mg Tablet, help the child calm down and repeat the same dose. However, if it�s already time for the next dose, skip the missed dose. Do not double up the dose to make for the missed one.Primarid 2.5mg Tablet may cause some minor and temporary side effects in some children. These may include nausea, vomiting, abdominal cramps, dizziness, and skin rash. These side effects usually go away once your child�s body adapts to the medicine. In Treatment of Malaria Malaria is an illness characterized by fever, chills, shivering, and body aches. It is caused by parasites that enter the human body by the bite of infected mosquitoes. Primarid 2.5mg Tablet kills the infection-causing parasite and stops the recurrence of symptoms. This further stops the spread of the infection in the community. Give Primarid 2.5mg Tablet to your child only as prescribed and refrain from giving any other medicines along with this medicine (unless advised by the doctor) as that may affect the absorption of this medicine. Do not use this medicine for treating any other condition without consulting your doctor.

Remain calm. If you forget to administer a dose of Primarid 2.5mg Tablet give it as soon as you remember. Store in a cool and dry place, and keep the temperature below 30�C

Never share your child�s medicines with anyone else as they may cause harm. Make sure you have enough medicine to complete the prescribed course. Follow these self-care measures:Use insect repellent ointments on parts of your child�s body, not covered by clothing.Make sure your child wears light-colored and covered clothing.Tuck the mosquito net under the mattress to keep the mosquitoes out.Use mosquito repellant sprays everywhere inside the house to kill any mosquitoes entering the rooms.
