Sedan TZ 1000mg/125mg Injection usually makes you feel better very quickly but you should continue taking it as prescribed even when you feel better to make sure that all bacteria are killed and do not become resistant.

Sedan TZ 1000mg/125mg Injection is a combination of two medicines: Ceftazidime and Tazobactum. Ceftazidime is an antibiotic. It works by preventing the formation of the bacterial protective covering which is essential for the survival of bacteria. Tazobactum is a beta-lactamase inhibitor which reduces resistance and enhances the activity of Ceftazidime against bacteria.

Alcohol

Pregnancy

Safe when prescribed by an expert: Sedan TZ 1000mg/125mg Injection is generally considered safe to use during pregnancy. Animal studies have shown low or no adverse effects to the developing baby; however, there are limited human studies.

Breast feeding

Safe when prescribed by an expert: Sedan TZ 1000mg/125mg Injection is safe to use during breastfeeding. Human studies suggest that the drug does not pass into the breastmilk in a significant amount and is not harmful to the baby.

Driving

Not Safe: Sedan TZ 1000mg/125mg Injection may decrease alertness, affect your vision or make you feel sleepy and dizzy. Do not drive if these symptoms occur.

Kidney

Caution Advised: Sedan TZ 1000mg/125mg Injection should be used with caution in patients with kidney disease. Dose adjustment of Sedan TZ 1000mg/125mg Injection may be needed. Doctor consultation is advised.

Liver

Caution Advised: Sedan TZ 1000mg/125mg Injection should be used with caution in patients with severe liver disease. Dose adjustment of Sedan TZ 1000mg/125mg Injection may be needed. Doctor consultation is advised.

Stop taking Sedan TZ 1000mg/125mg Injection and inform your doctor immediately if you develop an itchy rash, swelling of the face, throat or tongue or breathing difficulties while taking it.
