Thioforce-ET Tablet is an oral fixed-dose combination designed for the management of pain where muscle stiffness is a major factor. This 60mg/4mg ratio is specifically balanced to provide high pain relief while minimising the sedative effects often associated with older muscle relaxants.

Composition and Mechanism: Each tablet contains of Etoricoxib and Thiocolchicoside. Etoricoxib is a selective COX-2 inhibitor that blocks the enzymes responsible for producing prostaglandins, the chemicals that cause pain and inflammation in the body. Because it is highly selective, it aims to spare the "good" prostaglandins that protect the stomach lining. Thiocolchicoside is a semi-synthetic derivative of a natural compound that acts on the central nervous system. It acts as a competitive GABAA receptor antagonist and has glycine-like activity, which helps "turn off" excessive electrical signals that keep the muscles in a painful, contracted state.

Major Therapeutic Uses: Thioforce-ET Tablet is indicated for the short-term treatment of acute painful conditions like sciatica, low back pain (lumbago), and cervical pain (neck stiffness). It is also highly effective for managing pain following orthopaedic surgeries or traumatic muscle injuries. Because it addresses both the inflammation of the nerves or joints and the secondary muscle shielding (spasms) that occurs around an injury, it is a comprehensive solution for "locking" or "freezing" sensations in the back and limbs.

Benefits and Precautions: The primary benefit of this combination is the "unloading" of the spine and joints. Relaxing the muscles takes the physical pressure off the skeletal structure, while Etoricoxib halts the chemical pain cycle. However, significant precautions are necessary regarding cardiovascular and gastrointestinal health. Thioforce-ET Tablet offers a "structural-and-chemical" approach to pain relief. Its primary medicinal benefit is the rapid restoration of movement. In many back injuries, pain is doubled because the muscles "clamp down" to protect the area, which can actually create more discomfort. Thiocolchicoside gently releases this "protective" spasm without causing the heavy drowsiness or "brain fog" associated with older sedating muscle relaxants.

One of the significant advantages of the 60mg Etoricoxib component is its long half-life. It provides consistent pain relief for up to 24 hours with a single dose. Store Thioforce-ET Tablet at room temperature (below 30°C). Keep the tablets in their original moisture-proof blister pack. Protect from direct heat and sunlight. Keep out of reach of children.

• High-Fat Meals: May slightly delay the absorption of Etoricoxib, but does not reduce its total effectiveness.

• Alcohol: Significantly increases the risk of gastric bleeding and liver enzymes rising.

Warfarin

Methotrexate

Etoricoxib can increase the levels of this drug to toxic levels in the blood.

Lithium

• Asthma: Some patients may experience a "tight chest" if they are sensitive to NSAIDs.

The dosage is strictly determined by your doctor based on the intensity of your pain. A common Initial Dose for acute back or neck pain is one tablet once daily.

The Maximum Dose should not exceed of Etoricoxib and Thiocolchicoside (two 4mg doses) in a 24-hour period. Because of the Thiocolchicoside component, the treatment duration is typically limited to 7 consecutive days. If pain persists beyond this, consult your doctor for a different management plan. Never exceed the prescribed dose.

If you miss a dose, take it as soon as you remember if you are in pain. However, if it is almost time for your next dose, skip the missed one. Do not take two tablets at once to catch up, as this increases the risk of stomach irritation and high blood pressure.
