Hypertension (high blood pressure)

In Hypertension (high blood pressure) Vintel-Ct : C Tablet relaxes the blood vessels so that blood can flow more easily around your body. It also eliminates excess water from the body and increases urine output. This lowers your blood pressure and reduces your risk of having a stroke, a heart attack, or kidney problems in the future. You do not usually feel any direct benefit from taking this medicine, but it works in the long term to keep you well. You should take it regularly as prescribed for this medicine to be most effective, even if you feel better.

The majority of side effects typically do not necessitate medical intervention. and disappear as your body adjusts to the medicine. Doctor consultation is advised if they persist or if you're worried about them. Follow your doctor's guidance regarding the dose and duration of this medication. Ingest it without breaking or crushing. Do not chew, crush or break it. Vintel-Ct C Tablet is to be taken with food.

Vintel-Ct C Tablet is a combination of three medicines: Telmisartan, Cilnidipine and Chlorthalidone. Telmisartan is an angiotensin receptor blocker (ARB) and Cilnidipine is a calcium channel blocker (CCB). They work by widening and relaxing the blood vessels, thereby lowering blood pressure. Chlorthalidone is a diuretic which removes extra water and certain electrolytes from the body through urine. Over time it also works by relaxing blood vessels and improving blood flow.

Alcohol

Unsafe: Avoid consuming alcohol with Vintel-Ct C Tablet as it is deemed unsafe.

Pregnancy

Seek medical advice from your doctor: Vintel-Ct C Tablet is unsafe to use during pregnancy as there is definite evidence of risk to the developing baby. However, the doctor may rarely prescribe it in some life-threatening situations if the benefits are more than the potential risks. Doctor consultation is advised.

Breast feeding

Seek medical advice from your doctor: Information regarding the use of Vintel-Ct C Tablet during breastfeeding is not available. Doctor consultation is advised.

Driving

Not Safe: Vintel-Ct C Tablet may decrease alertness, affect your vision or make you feel sleepy and dizzy. Do not drive if these symptoms occur.

Kidney

Caution Advised: Vintel-Ct C Tablet should be used with caution in patients with severe kidney disease. Dose adjustment of Vintel-Ct

Liver

Caution Advised: Vintel-Ct C Tablet should be used with caution in patients with liver disease. Dose adjustment of Vintel-Ct

If a dose of Vintel-Ct C Tablet is missed, take it promptly. However, if your next dose is approaching, skip the missed dose and resume your regular schedule. Avoid doubling the dose.

Store in a cool and dry place, and keep the temperature below 30�C

You have been prescribed Vintel-Ct C Tablet for the treatment of high blood pressure. Lowering high blood pressure helps prevent strokes and heart attacks. It may cause dizziness. Get up slowly when rising from a sitting or lying position. Vintel-Ct C Tablet may cause dehydration.
