• Consistent Timing: Take the medicine at the same time each day to maintain steady antibiotic levels in the body.
• Hydration: Drink plenty of water during treatment to support kidney function and reduce the risk of crystalluria (crystals forming in urie).
• Tendon Safety: Stop the medicine immediately and seek medical advice if you experience tendon pain, swelling, or rupture. Risk is higher in older adults and those on corticosteroids.
• Sun Protection: Levofloxacin can increase sensitivity to sunlight. Use sunscreen and avoid tanning beds to prevent sunburn.
• Avoid Antacids and Supplements: Do not take antacids, iron, or zinc supplements within 2 hours before or after Levofloxacin, as they reduce absorption

• NSAIDS: Combining with certain painkillers (like ibuprofen) may increase the risk of CNS stimulation and seizures.

• Myasthenia Gravis: May worsen muscle weakness and breathing problems; use is usually avoided.
• Epilepsy/Seizures: May lower the seizure threshold and trigger convulsions.
• Heart Rhythm Disorders: May cause QT prolongation (a heart rhythm issue).
• Diabetes: May cause significant changes in blood sugar (hypoglycemia or hyperglycemia).

The dosage is determined by the type and severity of the infection. It is typically administered as a single daily dose for a period ranging from 3 to 14 days (or longer for specific conditions like prostatitis).

Overdose may cause confusion, dizziness, seizures, and gastrointestinal upset. Action Required: Contact emergency medical services immediately if an overdose is suspected.
