In Abdominal pain Zidium Injection effectively relieves sudden muscle spasms or contractions in the stomach and intestine (gut), thereby relaxing the muscles and improving movement of food. This helps to treat abdominal pain (or stomach pain) as well as cramps, bloating and discomfort. Eventually, it will help you to go about your daily activities more easily and have a better, more active, quality of life. It is given as an injection by a doctor or nurse and should not be self-administered. Follow your doctor?s instructions carefully to get the most benefit.

Zidium Injection is a combination of two medicines: Dicyclomine and Ranitidine. Dicyclomine is an antispasmodic which works by relaxing the muscles in your stomach and gut (intestine). It stops sudden muscle contractions (spasms), thereby relieving abdominal cramps and pain. Ranitidine is an H2 blocker (antacid). It works by reducing the amount of acid in the stomach which helps relieve acid-related indigestion and heartburn.

Alcohol

Unsafe: Avoid consuming alcohol with Zidium Injection as it is deemed unsafe.

Pregnancy

Safe when prescribed by an expert: Zidium Injection is generally considered safe to use during pregnancy. Animal studies have shown low or no adverse effects to the developing baby; however, there are limited human studies.

Breast feeding

Seek medical advice from your doctor: Zidium Injection is probably unsafe to use during breastfeeding. Limited human data suggests that the drug may pass into the breastmilk and harm the baby.

Driving

Seek medical advice from your doctor: It is not known whether Zidium Injection alters the ability to drive. Do not drive if you experience any symptoms that affect your ability to concentrate and react.

Kidney

Caution Advised: Zidium Injection should be used with caution in patients with kidney disease. Dose adjustment of Zidium Injection may be needed. Doctor consultation is advised.

Liver

Caution Advised: Zidium Injection should be used with caution in patients with liver disease. Dose adjustment of Zidium Injection may be needed. Doctor consultation is advised.

If a dose of Zidium Injection is missed, it's advisable to consult your doctor.

Store in a cool and dry place, and keep the temperature below 30�C

You will be administered Zidium Injection to get relief from abdominal pain due to acidity. Drink 6 to 8 full glasses of water daily to help prevent constipation while you are taking this medicine. Do not use a stool softener (laxative) without first asking your doctor. Do not take indigestion remedies (antacids) within two hours of taking Zidium Injection. Incorporate the folowing lifestyle changes in order to prevent acidity:Make sure you eat regular meals and drink plenty of water.Avoid spicy and fatty fried food.Lose weight if you are obese.If you are a smoker, consider giving up.Don't drink too much alcohol.Do not go to bed immediately after taking a meal. Sit in a relaxed position for some time for better digestion.
