Dimethicone softens and moisturizes the skin, and decreases itching and flaking.

You have been prescribed Vaniza HC Gel for the treatment of skin infections. Wash your skin with a mild cleanser and pat it dry before applying. Apply it as a thin layer onto a clean, dry, unbroken infected area of skin. Don't cover the area being treated with airtight dressings such as bandages unless directed by a doctor. Avoid contact with your eyes, nose, or mouth. Rinse it off with water if you accidentally get the cream in these areas. Use moisturizer regularly to overcome skin dryness during the course of treatment. Don't use this medicine more often or for longer than advised by your doctor. Inform your doctor if the treated skin area does not improve after 1 week of treatment.
