Uses

Chlorpheniramine Maleate, Paracetamol, Phenylephrine, Sodium Citrate, and Menthol are used in the treatment of the common cold and dry cough.

How it Works

How Chlorpheniramine Maleate, Paracetamol, Phenylephrine, Sodium Citrate, and Menthol work: Chlorpheniramine Maleate is an antihistamine that alleviates allergy symptoms such as a runny nose, watery eyes, and sneezing. Paracetamol is an analgesic (pain reliever) and antipyretic (fever reducer) that inhibits the release of certain chemical messengers in the brain responsible for pain and fever. Phenylephrine is a decongestant that constricts small blood vessels, providing relief from nasal congestion or stuffiness. Sodium Citrate is a mucolytic that thins and loosens mucus (phlegm), making it easier to expel. Menthol is an organic compound that creates a cooling sensation and alleviates minor throat irritation.

Side Effects

Common side effects of Chlorpheniramine Maleate, Paracetamol, Phenylephrine, Sodium Citrate, and Menthol include nausea, tachycardia, palpitations, dizziness, fear, restlessness, weakness, discomfort when urinating, insomnia (difficulty sleeping), convulsions, anxiety, tremors, headache, and hallucinations.
