Uses

Telmisartan, Cilnidipine, and Chlorthalidone are used in the treatment of hypertension (high blood pressure).

How it Works

How Telmisartan + Cilnidipine + Chlorthalidone works Telmisartan, Cilnidipine, and Chlorthalidone is a combination of three medicines. Telmisartan is an angiotensin receptor blocker (ARB), while Cilnidipine is a calcium channel blocker (CCB). Together, they work by widening and relaxing the blood vessels, which helps lower blood pressure. Chlorthalidone is a diuretic that removes excess water and certain electrolytes from the body through urine. Additionally, it contributes to lowering blood pressure by relaxing blood vessels and improving blood flow over time.

Side Effects

Common side effects of Telmisartan, Cilnidipine, and Chlorthalidone include ankle swelling, headache, dizziness, tiredness, palpitations, sleepiness, increased blood uric acid, glucose intolerance, taste changes, flushing (a sense of warmth in the face, ears, neck, and trunk), upset stomach, and altered blood lipid levels.

  • The use of Telmisartan + Cilnidipine + Chlorthalidone during pregnancy or breastfeeding is considered unsafe.
