Flupirtine is used for pain relief.

How it Works

Flupirtine decreases the perception of pain by blocking the transmission of pain signals to the brain.

Side Effects

Common side effects of Flupirtine include fatigue, dizziness, nausea, dry mouth, tremors, heartburn, vomiting, abdominal pain, constipation, loss of appetite, depression, headache, abdominal discomfort, sleep disturbances, increased sweating, restlessness, nervousness, flatulence, and diarrhea.

Flupirtine is prescribed when painkillers (NSAIDs) cannot be used due to gastric damage caused by them.
Inform your doctor before starting Flupirtine if you:

Have an underlying liver disease
Regularly consume alcohol
Are pregnant, planning to become pregnant, or are breastfeeding

Get your liver function tests done before starting Flupirtine and continue with follow-up tests every week while you are taking the medication.
Stop taking Flupirtine and immediately inform your doctor if you experience any symptoms of liver disease, such as:
