How Arformoterol works Arformoterol is a bronchodilator that relaxes the muscles in the airways and widens the airways, making breathing easier.

Side Effects

Common side effects of Arformoterol include tremors, headache, rash, back pain, increased potassium levels in the blood, breathlessness, vomiting, diarrhea, chest pain, nervousness, pain, sinus inflammation, leg cramps, flu-like symptoms, peripheral edema, chest congestion, weakness, fever, bronchitis (inflammation of the airways), chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD), and high white blood cell count.

Expert Advice

  • This medicine is for inhalation only.
  • The tablet should not be swallowed.
  • It should be taken at the same time each day.
  • It does not work immediately and should not be used to relieve sudden breathing problems.
  • Use your rescue inhaler to manage sudden difficulty in breathing.
  • Do not stop taking Arformoterol suddenly, even if you do not currently have any symptoms, as this may cause your breathing problems to return.
