Hydroxypropylmethylcellulose acts as a lubricant, functioning similarly to natural tears, and provides temporary relief from burning and discomfort in the eyes. Moxifloxacin is an antibiotic that prevents bacterial cells from dividing and repairing, effectively killing the bacteria responsible for eye infections. Prednisolone is a steroid that inhibits the production of certain chemical messengers (prostaglandins) that cause inflammation, leading to redness, swelling, and itchiness in the eyes.
