Hydroxypropylmethylcellulose is a lubricant that works similarly to natural tears, providing temporary relief from burning and discomfort in the eye. Ofloxacin is an antibiotic that prevents bacterial cells from dividing and repairing, effectively killing the bacteria that cause eye infections. Prednisolone is a steroid that blocks the production of certain chemical messengers (prostaglandins) that lead to redness, swelling, and itchiness in the eye.
