Durapain Capsule is a combination of two medicines: Diclofenac and Tramadol, which relieves severe pain. Diclofenac is a non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID) which works by blocking the release of certain chemical messengers that cause pain and inflammation (redness and swelling). Tramadol is an opioid which works by blocking transmission of pain signals to the brain to lower pain perception.

Alcohol

Unsafe: Avoid consuming alcohol with Durapain Capsule 30/ as it is deemed unsafe.

Pregnancy

Seek medical advice from your doctor: Durapain Capsule is unsafe to use during pregnancy as there is definite evidence of risk to the developing baby. However, the doctor may rarely prescribe it in some life-threatening situations if the benefits are more than the potential risks. Doctor consultation is advised.

Breast feeding

Safe when prescribed by an expert: Durapain Capsule is probably safe to use during breastfeeding. Limited human data suggests that the drug does not represent any significant risk to the baby. Consult a doctor immediately if the baby shows signs of increased sleepiness (more than usual), difficulty breastfeeding, breathing problems, or limpness.

Driving

Not Safe: Durapain Capsule may cause side effects which could affect your ability to drive. Durapain Capsule may cause side effects such as drowsiness and blurred vision. If this happens, do not drive.

Kidney

Caution Advised: Durapain Capsule should be used with caution in patients with kidney disease. Dose adjustment of Durapain Capsule may be needed. Doctor consultation is advised.

Liver

Caution Advised: Durapain Capsule should be used with caution in patients with liver disease. Dose adjustment of Durapain Capsule may be needed. Doctor consultation is advised.

If a dose of Durapain Capsule 30/ is missed, take it promptly. However, if your next dose is approaching, skip the missed dose and resume your regular schedule. Avoid doubling the dose.
