In Eczema Eczema is a condition in which patches of skin swells and becomes dry, itchy, rough and red. Epicort MK Ointment moisturizes the skin and helps reduce dryness and itchiness. It also reduces swelling and redness at the affected area. Apply Epicort MK Ointment 1-2 times a day or as prescribed by your doctor. You might see an improvement in your skin after 2 to 3 weeks of treatment. In Psoriasis Psoriasis is a skin problem in which skin cells build up and form scales and dry patches which are itchy and painful. Applying Epicort MK Ointment helps manage psoriasis symptoms like itching, pain, redness, swelling or irritation. It also moisturizes the skin and makes it soft and smooth. Clean and dry the affected area before applying Epicort MK Ointment. Use it atleast 2-3 times a day or as prescribed. You may see change in your skin appearance after few weeks.

The majority of side effects typically do not necessitate medical intervention. and disappear as your body adjusts to the medicine. Doctor consultation is advised if they persist or if you're worried about them.

Epicort MK Ointment is a combination of five medicines: Betamethasone, Lacto bacillus Rhamnosus, Salicylic Acid, Sodium Lactate and Urea which treat eczema and psoriasis. Betamethasone is a steroid which blocks the production of certain chemical messengers (prostaglandins) that make the skin red, swollen and itchy. The other medicines are keratolytic medicines which break down keratin clumps, remove dead skin cells and soften the skin. They also enhance the absorption of Betamethasone into the skin.

Pregnancy

Although there are limited studies in humans, animal studies have shown harmful effects on the developing baby. Breast feeding

If a dose of Epicort MK Ointment is missed, take it promptly. However, if your next dose is approaching, skip the missed dose and resume your regular schedule. Avoid doubling the dose.

Store in a cool and dry place, and keep the temperature below 30�C
