Measure it with a measuring cup and take it by mouth. Shake well before use. Flucoril Syrup can be taken it with or without food, although it's advisable to take it consistently at the same time.

Flucoril Syrup is a combination of three medicines: Dextromethorphan Hydrobromide, Phenylephrine, and Paracetamol which relieve dry cough. Dextromethorphan Hydrobromide is a cough suppressant that relieves cough by reducing the activity of the cough center in the brain. Phenylephrine is a decongestant that narrows the small blood vessels providing relief from congestion or stuffiness in the nose. Paracetamol is an analgesic (pain reliever) and antipyretic (fever reducer). It works by blocking the production of chemical messengers (prostaglandins) that transmit pain signals and induce fever.

Kidney

Safe when prescribed by an expert: Flucoril Syrup is safe to use in patients with kidney disease. No dose adjustment of Flucoril Syrup is recommended. However, prolonged use without consulting your child€™s doctor may impact kidney function in your child. Discuss with your child€™s doctor thoroughly before giving this medicine to your child.

Liver

Caution Advised: Flucoril Syrup should be used with caution in patients with liver disease. Dose adjustment of Flucoril Syrup may be needed. Doctor consultation is advised.

Remain calm. Unless your child�s doctor has provided specific instructions, administer the missed dose once recalled. If it's nearly time for the next dose, skip the missed one. Adhere to the prescribed dosing schedule and avoid administering a double dose to compensate for the missed one.

Store in a cool and dry place, and keep the temperature below 30�C

Never self-medicate at home. Always consult your child�s doctor before giving any medicine to your child. Flucoril Syrup may make your child feel sleepy. Ensure your child takes extra care when taking part in physical activities. Never combine Flucoril Syrup with other cold and flu medicines as that may lead to side effects. Stop Flucoril Syrup and immediately report to the doctor if your child develops an itchy rash, facial swelling, or breathing difficulties. Practice self-care tips:Clean and disinfect surfaces after sneezing and coughing to avoid allergy.Give your child plenty of fluids as it helps to thin and loosen the mucus accumulated in the lungs.Restrain your child from having caffeinated products and foods that are spicy and fried. All these can trigger coughing.Make your child gargle with warm saltwater.Ensure your child takes enough rest.
