Cough

In Cough Kapikof Syrup gives relief from cough by loosening thick mucus and making it easier to cough it out. It also makes it easier for air to move in and out of your airways. This reduces the frequency of coughing and makes you feel better. Kapikof Syrup also relieves allergy symptoms like watery eyes, sneezing, runny nose or throat irritation. Take it in the exact dose and duration as prescribed by the doctor. Steam inhalation with few drops of eucalyptus oil can loosen mucus and reduce congestion and coughing.

The majority of side effects typically do not necessitate medical intervention. and disappear as your body adjusts to the medicine. Doctor consultation is advised if they persist or if you're worried about them. ['Vomiting, Headache, Tiredness, Dryness in mouth, Nausea, Upset stomach']

Kapikof Syrup is a combination of five medicines: Ambroxol, Cetirizine, Phenylephrine, Guaifenesin and Menthol. Ambroxol and Guaifenesin work by decreasing the stickiness of mucus (phlegm) which helps in its removal from the airways. Cetirizine is an antiallergic which relieves allergy symptoms like runny nose, watery eyes and sneezing. Phenylephrine is a decongestant which narrows the small blood vessels providing temporary relief from congestion or stuffiness in the nose. Menthol produces a cooling sensation and relieves minor throat irritation.

Pregnancy

If a dose of Kapikof Syrup is missed, take it promptly. However, if your next dose is approaching, skip the missed dose and resume your regular schedule. Avoid doubling the dose.

Store in a cool and dry place, and keep the temperature below 30�C

Kapikof Syrup is prescribed to get relief from cough. Drink warm water to help loosen the congestion and lubricate your throat while you are taking this medication. Take exactly as directed by your doctor or on the label. Do not increase the dosage or take for longer than is recommended. Use a proper measuring cup or spoon to measure the dosage. If you are drowsy after taking Kapikof Syrup, you should not drive or operate any machinery. In general, most coughs do not last more than 2 weeks. If your cough does last longer than this then it's better to see your doctor. Inform your doctor if you have a history of stomach ulcers or asthma. Inform your doctor if you are taking any other medications for e.g. anti-depressants. Kapikof Syrup should not be given to kids.
