How Medflox RO Suspension works Medflox RO Suspension is a combination of three medicines: Ofloxacin, Ornidazole and Racecadotril which treat diarrhoea. Ofloxacin is an antibiotic. It kills bacteria by preventing them from reproducing and repairing themselves. Ornidazole is also an antibiotic which kills the bacteria and other microorganisms by damaging the DNA. Together, they treat your infection effectively. Racecadotril has an anti-secretory effect. It reduces the secretion of water and electrolytes from the intestine which decreases fluid loss during diarrhoea.

Alcohol

Unsafe: Avoid consuming alcohol with Medflox RO Suspension as it is deemed unsafe.

Pregnancy

Stopping it early may make the infection come back and harder to treat. Discontinue Medflox RO Suspension and inform your doctor immediately if you get a rash, itchy skin, swelling of face and mouth, or have difficulty in breathing. It is advisable to drink plenty of fluids and a healthy diet while taking the medicine. It may cause dizziness. Do not drive or do anything that requires mental focus until you know how medicine affects you.
