Mefbrom Spas Tablet is a combination medicine used in the treatment of menstrual pain. It relaxes the muscles to reduce pain and cramps. It removes excess water from the body to reduce bloating and water retention in the body. Mefbrom Spas Tablet is taken with food in a dose and duration as advised by the doctor. The dose you are given will depend on your condition and how you respond to the medicine. You should keep taking this medicine for as long as your doctor recommends. If you discontinue treatment prematurely, there is a risk of symptom recurrence and worsening of your condition. Let your healthcare team know about all other medications you are taking as some may affect, or be affected by this medicine. Do not take it for more than the recommended duration as long-term administration may have harmful effects on the health. The most common side effects are dryness in mouth, blurred vision, nausea, vomiting, heartburn, indigestion, diarrhea, loss of appetite, and weakness. It may also cause dizziness and sleepiness, so do not drive or do anything that requires mental focus until you know how this medicine affects you. How it works

Mefbrom Spas Tablet is a combination of three medicines: Dicyclomine, Mefenamic Acid and Pamabrom. Dicyclomine is an antispasmodic which works by relaxing the muscles in your stomach and gut (intestine). It stops sudden muscle contractions (spasms) and relieves cramps and bloating. Mefenamic Acid is a non-steroidal antiinflammatory drug (NSAID) which works by blocking the release of certain chemical messengers (prostaglandins) that cause pain. Pamabrom is a diuretic which increases urine production to remove excess water from the body and relieve premenstrual symptoms like bloating, water-weight gain, swelling and the feeling of being full.

Dry mouth may occur as a side effect. Frequent mouth rinses, good oral hygiene, increased water intake and sugarless candy may help. Mefbrom Spas Tablet will cause you to urinate more than usual. This is a sign that the medicine is working. Drink at least 6 to 8 glasses of water each day. Gold-colored urine is a normal side effect of this medicine and not cause for concern. Along with taking Mefbrom Spas Tablet you can use a heating pad or try gentle massage and relaxation techniques to get relief from menstrual pain.
