Metopar Suspension shortens the duration of a migraine attack and helps reduce headaches and other associated symptoms such as nausea and vomiting. By preventing and reducing the frequency of headaches, it can help your child carry out their daily activities and have a better quality of life.

How can I give Metopar Suspension to my child?Follow your doctor's guidance regarding the dose and duration of this medication. Check the label for directions before use. Measure it with a measuring cup and take it by mouth. Shake well before use. Metopar Suspension can be taken it with or without food, although it's advisable to take it consistently at the same time.

Metopar Suspension contains two medicines: Metoclopramide and Paracetamol. Metoclopramide is an antiemetic that works on the vomiting center in the brain. It also increases the movement of the stomach and intestines, allowing food to move more easily through the stomach. This prevents nausea and vomiting caused due to migraines. Paracetamol is an analgesic (pain reliever) and an antipyretic (fever reducer) which blocks the release of certain chemical messengers that cause the pain associated with migraine.

Kidney

Safe when prescribed by an expert: Metopar Suspension is safe to use in patients with kidney disease. No dose adjustment of Metopar Suspension is recommended.

Liver

Caution Advised: Metopar Suspension should be used with caution in patients with liver disease. Dose adjustment of Metopar Suspension may be needed. Doctor consultation is advised.

Remain calm. Unless your child�s doctor has provided specific instructions, administer the missed dose once recalled. If it's nearly time for the next dose, skip the missed one. Adhere to the prescribed dosing schedule and avoid administering a double dose to compensate for the missed one.

Store in a cool and dry place, and keep the temperature below 30�C

If diarrhea develops as a side effect, encourage your child to drink plenty of fluids. Never give any other medicines containing paracetamol along with this medicine as that may lead to serious side effects. Do not alter the dose by yourself as it can result in unwanted side effects in your child. Do not mix Metopar Suspension with any herbal or ayurvedic preparations as it will not be effective. Stop the medicine and report to the doctor on an immediate basis if your child exhibits side effects such as itching, breathing difficulty, and swelling of the face soon after taking Metopar Suspension.
