Keep taking it for as long as advised by your doctor. Even if you feel well, do not stop this medicine on your own because high blood pressure often has no symptoms. If you stop taking it, your condition may get worse. Keeping active with regular exercise, reducing your weight and eating a healthy diet will also help control your blood pressure. Follow your doctor?s advice while taking this medicine. Some common side effects of this medicine include nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, decreased blood pressure, weakness, and increased potassium level in blood. It is advised to avoid potassium rich food and supplements while taking this medicine. It may cause dizziness, avoid driving or rise slowly from the sitting position. In Hypertension (high blood pressure) Nebicard-V Tablet relaxes the blood vessels so that blood can flow more easily around your body. This lowers your blood pressure and reduces your risk of having a stroke, a heart attack, or kidney problems in the future. You do not usually feel any direct benefit from taking this medicine, but it works in the long term to keep you well. You should take it regularly as prescribed for this medicine to be most effective, even if you feel better.
The majority of side effects typically do not necessitate medical intervention. and disappear as your body adjusts to the medicine. Doctor consultation is advised if they persist or if you're worried about them. Follow your doctor's guidance regarding the dose and duration of this medication. Ingest it without breaking or crushing. Do not chew, crush or break it. Nebicard-V Tablet can be taken it with or without food, although it's advisable to take it consistently at the same time.
Nebicard-V Tablet is a combination of two blood-pressure lowering medicines: Nebivolol and Valsartan. Nebivolol is a beta blocker which works specifically on the heart to reduce heart rate and lower blood pressure. Valsartan is an angiotensin receptor blocker (ARB). It works by blocking the hormone angiotensin thereby relaxing blood vessels. Together they allow the blood to flow more smoothly and the heart to pump more efficiently.
Alcohol
Unsafe: Avoid consuming alcohol with Nebicard-V Tablet as it is deemed unsafe.
Pregnancy
Seek medical advice from your doctor: Nebicard-V Tablet is unsafe to use during pregnancy as there is definite evidence of risk to the developing baby. However, the doctor may rarely prescribe it in some life-threatening situations if the benefits are more than the potential risks. Doctor consultation is advised.
Breast feeding
Seek medical advice from your doctor: Nebicard-V Tablet is probably unsafe to use during breastfeeding. Limited human data suggests that the drug may pass into the breastmilk and harm the baby.
Driving
Not Safe: Nebicard-V Tablet may decrease alertness, affect your vision or make you feel sleepy and dizzy. Do not drive if these symptoms occur.
Kidney
Caution Advised: Nebicard-V Tablet should be used with caution in patients with severe kidney disease. Dose adjustment of Nebicard-V Tablet may be needed. Doctor consultation is advised. Regular blood pressure monitoring is recommended. No dose adjustment is needed in patients with mild to moderate kidney disease.
Liver
Caution Advised: Nebicard-V Tablet should be used with caution in patients with liver disease. Dose adjustment of Nebicard-V Tablet may be needed. Doctor consultation is advised.
If a dose of Nebicard-V Tablet is missed, take it promptly. However, if your next dose is approaching, skip the missed dose and resume your regular schedule. Avoid doubling the dose.
Store in a cool and dry place, and keep the temperature below 30�C
You have been prescribed Nebicard-V Tablet for the treatment of high blood pressure. Lowering blood pressure reduces chance of future heart attack & strokes. It may cause dizziness. Get up slowly when rising from a sitting or lying position. Do not stop taking the medication suddenly without talking to your doctor as it can cause sudden increase in your blood pressure.
