In Treatment of Bacterial & parasitic infections Ofnida Syrup is an antibiotic medicine given to children for the treatment of a wide range of bacterial and protozoal infections. These infections may include tooth abscess, gum infection, pneumonia, diarrhea, dysentery, burning sensation while passing urine, and genital tract infection. Ofnida Syrup inhibits the growth of infection-causing organisms by stopping them from multiplying. It is most likely that your child?s infection will start showing improvement within 3 to 5 days of the regular dosing. Make sure to complete the full course of treatment even if your child feels better. Stopping the medicine abruptly by yourself may worsen your child?s condition or cause infection recurrence.

The majority of side effects typically do not necessitate medical intervention. and disappear as your body adjusts to the medicine. Doctor consultation is advised if they persist or if you're worried about them. How can I give Ofnida Syrup to my child?Follow your doctor's guidance regarding the dose and duration of this medication. Check the label for directions before use. Measure it with a measuring cup and take it by mouth. Shake well before use. Ofnida Syrup is to be taken with food.

Ofnida Syrup is an antibiotic consisting of ofloxacin and tinidazole as its active ingredients. Both these ingredients tamper the bacteria?s DNA. As a result, the infection-causing bacteria gets killed, stopping the infection and the bacteria from growing further without making them resistant to further treatment.

Kidney

Caution Advised: Ofnida Syrup should be used with caution in patients with kidney disease. Dose adjustment of Ofnida Syrup may be needed. Doctor consultation is advised.

Liver

Safe when prescribed by an expert: Ofnida Syrup is safe to use in patients with liver disease. No dose adjustment of Ofnida Syrup is recommended. However, Ofnida Syrup should be used with caution in children with severe liver impairment.

Remain calm. Unless your child�s doctor has provided specific instructions, you can administer the missed dose once you recall it. However, if it's nearly time for the next dose, skip the missed one. Stick to the prescribed dosing schedule and avoid giving a double dose to make up for the missed one.

Store in a cool and dry place, and keep the temperature below 30�C

Diarrhea is a common side effect of Ofnida Syrup. If it develops, drinking plenty of water may prove helpful to your child. Ofnida Syrup may cause an altered taste. Eating citrus fruit or sipping plenty of water or fruit juice may help. Do not give any calcium, magnesium, iron, vitamin, or antacid to your child within 2 hours of taking Ofnida Syrup as these can affect the absorption of the medicine. Conditions like common cold and flu are caused by viruses. Never use this medicine for such conditions. Your child must complete the entire course of antibiotics. Stopping too soon may cause the bacteria to multiply again, become resistant, or cause another infection. Discontinue Ofnida Syrup and inform the doctor immediately if your child develops a rash, itchy skin, swelling of face and mouth, or has difficulty in breathing. Only give Ofnida Syrup to your child for their current infection. Never save medicine for future illnesses as its effectiveness in other illnesses cannot be guaranteed.
