Ofsta R 10mg/50mg Suspension reduces the excessive secretion of water and electrolytes and helps replenish the lost fluids and salts. It also helps treat loose stools and prevents abdominal distension or flatulence. Your child needs to take this medicine regularly to get the most out of it and drink plenty of fluids while taking it to stay hydrated.Your child may start to feel better after getting treated for a few days to a week. However, do not extend the course or stop the medicine by yourself without consulting your child�s doctor. This may lead to the recurrence of symptoms.

How Ofsta R Suspension works Ofsta R 10mg/50mg Suspension contains two medicines: Racecadotril and ofloxacin. Racecadotril is an enkephalinase inhibitor that has anti-secretory effects. This means that this medicine reduces the secretion of water and electrolytes from the intestine. As a result, the amount of fluid lost from the body in diarrhea reduces. On the other hand, Ofloxacin is an antibiotic. It kills bacteria by preventing them from reproducing and causing infection.

Kidney

Ofsta R 10mg/50mg Suspension should be used with caution in patients with kidney disease. Dose adjustment of Ofsta R 10mg/50mg Suspension may be needed. Doctor consultation is advised.

Remain calm. Unless your child�s doctor has provided specific instructions, you can administer the missed dose once you recall it. However, if it's nearly time for the next dose, skip the missed one. Give Ofsta R 10mg/50mg Suspension only for whom it is prescribed. Never share the medicines as it can harm. Do not mix Ofsta R 10mg/50mg Suspension along with any other herbal or ayurvedic medicine as that may cause unwanted side effects. Do not give Ofsta R 10mg/50mg Suspension if your child has persistent uncontrolled vomiting as this medicine will not be absorbed.
