Ranicom AS Tablet relaxes the muscles in your stomach and gut (intestine) and relieves these symptoms effectively. Usually, it is used along with other medicines for management of your condition.Continue taking it for as long as the doctor may advise you to. You need to take this medicine regularly to get the most out of it. Take a fiber-rich diet, avoid oily or spicy food and drink plenty of fluids while taking it to make sure you stay hydrated.

How to use Ranicom AS Tablet Follow your doctor's guidance regarding the dose and duration of this medication. Ingest it without breaking or crushing. Do not chew, crush or break it. Ranicom AS Tablet is to be taken empty stomach.

How Ranicom AS Tablet works Ranicom AS Tablet is a combination of four medicines: Clidinium, Chlordiazepoxide, Dicyclomine and Ranitidine which treat irritable bowel syndrome. Clidinium and Dicyclomine are antispasmodic medicines that relax the muscles in your stomach and gut (intestine). They stop sudden muscle contractions (spasms). In doing this, they relieve cramps, pain, bloating, and discomfort. Chlordiazepoxide is a benzodiazepine. It works by increasing the action of a chemical messenger (GABA) which suppresses the abnormal and excessive activity of the nerve cells in the brain. Ranitidine is an H2 blocker. It works by reducing the amount of acid in the stomach which relieves acid-related indigestion and heartburn.

Alcohol

Unsafe: Avoid consuming alcohol with Ranicom AS Tablet as it is deemed unsafe.

Pregnancy

Ranicom AS Tablet is unsafe to use during pregnancy as there is definite evidence of risk to the developing baby. However, the doctor may rarely prescribe it in some life-threatening situations if the benefits are more than the potential risks. Doctor consultation is advised.

Breast feeding

Ranicom AS Tablet is probably unsafe to use during breastfeeding. Limited human data suggests that the drug may pass into the breastmilk and harm the baby.

Driving

Ranicom AS Tablet may cause side effects which could affect your ability to drive.As Ranicom AS Tablet may make you feel drowsy or affect your concentration and this may affect your ability to drive.

Kidney

Ranicom AS Tablet should be used with caution in patients with kidney disease. Dose adjustment of Ranicom AS Tablet may be needed. Doctor consultation is advised.

Liver

Ranicom AS Tablet should be used with caution in patients with liver disease. Dose adjustment of Ranicom AS Tablet may be needed. Doctor consultation is advised.

If a dose of Ranicom AS Tablet is missed, take it promptly. However, if your next dose is approaching, skip the missed dose and resume your regular schedule. Avoid doubling the dose.

Store in a cool and dry place, and keep the temperature below 30�C

Ranicom AS Tablet is prescribed to give relief from the symptoms of irritable bowel syndrome. If you are due to have an operation or any dental treatment, please tell the doctor carrying out the treatment that you are taking Ranicom AS Tablet. This is because Ranicom AS Tablet increases the effects of some anesthetics. Inform your doctor if you have an enlarged prostate gland, glaucoma, or trouble passing urine. If you are 65 or older, use Ranicom AS Tablet with care. You could have more side effects. If you develop any new symptoms, or if your symptoms get worse, make an appointment to see your doctor for further advice.
