Ranicom AS Tablet is used to treat irritable bowel syndrome (symptoms include abdominal pain, cramping, bloating, and diarrhea or constipation). It prevents the sudden spasm of muscles to relieve stomach pain and cramps. It also promotes easy passage of gas to reduce stomach discomfort.Ranicom AS Tablet is taken without food, following the dosage and duration recommended by your doctor. The dose you are given will depend on your condition and how you respond to the medicine. You should keep taking this medicine for as long as your doctor recommends. If you discontinue treatment prematurely, there is a risk of symptom recurrence and worsening of your condition. Let your healthcare team know about all other medications you are taking as some may affect, or be affected by this medicine.The most common side effects are nausea, stomach pain, constipation, dryness in mouth, blurred vision, confusion, headache, fatigue, muscle pain, and difficulty in urination. Most of these are temporary and usually resolve with time. Contact your doctor straight away if you are at all concerned about any of these side effects. It may also cause dizziness and sleepiness, so do not drive or do anything that requires mental focus until you know how this medicine affects you. Avoid drinking alcohol while taking this medicine as it can worsen your sleepiness.Lifestyle modifications like having fiber-rich diet, avoiding foods that trigger your symptoms, increasing fluid intake and regular exercise can help you to get better results. How it works

How Ranicom AS Tablet works Ranicom AS Tablet is a combination of four medicines: Clidinium, Chlordiazepoxide, Dicyclomine and Ranitidine which treat irritable bowel syndrome. Clidinium and Dicyclomine are antispasmodic medicines that relax the muscles in your stomach and gut (intestine). They stop sudden muscle contractions (spasms). In doing this, they relieve cramps, pain, bloating, and discomfort. Chlordiazepoxide is a benzodiazepine. It works by increasing the action of a chemical messenger (GABA) which suppresses the abnormal and excessive activity of the nerve cells in the brain. Ranitidine is an H2 blocker. It works by reducing the amount of acid in the stomach which relieves acid-related indigestion and heartburn.

If you are 65 or older, use Ranicom AS Tablet with care. You could have more side effects.
