Retrolax Syrup is a combination medicine used in the treatment of constipation. It softens the stools and helps in an easy passage of stools, thus relieves constipation. Retrolax Syrup is taken with food in a dose and duration as advised by the doctor. The dose you are given will depend on your condition and how you respond to the medicine. You should keep taking this medicine for as long as your doctor recommends. If you discontinue treatment prematurely, there is a risk of symptom recurrence and worsening of your condition. Let your healthcare team know about all other medications you are taking as some may affect, or be affected by this medicine. The most common side effects are flatulence and stomach pain. Quick Tips for Retrolax Syrup

Retrolax Syrup is prescribed for short-term relief from constipation. It should preferably be taken at bedtime as it requires 6 to 8 hours to show effect. Take it at least 2 hours after taking other medicines, as it may interfere with the absorption of other medicines. Inform your doctor if you have a history of stomach disorders such as appendicitis or a blockage in your bowel. Do not take any other laxative along with Retrolax Syrup without consulting your doctor. Some healthy tips to prevent constipation from happening:Eat more fiber in your diet. Recommended daily intake is 20-35g.Drink 8-10 glasses of water per day.Exercise regularly at least 3 times per week.Do not hold in stool as that can worsen bowel issues.
