Tuneup P Expectorant is a combination medicine used in the treatment of common cold symptoms. It relieves allergy symptoms (runny nose, watery eyes, sneezing, and nasal congestion). It also blocks the release of certain chemical messengers in the brain that cause pain and fever.It can be taken with or without food, preferably at a fixed time each day. Take this medicine in a dose and duration advised by the doctor. In case you miss a dose of this medicine, take it as soon as you remember. But, never take a double dose to make up for the missed one. It is beneficial to have plenty of fluids while taking this medication. However, inform doctor if you are suffering from any lung, liver or kidney disease before you start taking this medicine.Nausea, stomach upset, insomnia, high blood pressure may occur as side effects of this medicine. It may also cause dizziness as a side effect, so do not drive or do anything that requires mental focus. Avoid alcohol while taking this medicine, as it may worsen your side effects.

Phenylpropanolamine is a decongestant which narrows the small blood vessels providing relief from congestion or stuffiness in the nose. Chlorpheniramine Maleate is an antiallergic which relieves allergy symptoms like runny nose, watery eyes and sneezing. Dextromethorphan Hydrobromide is a cough suppressant that relieves cough by reducing the activity of cough centre in the brain. Paracetamol is an analgesic (pain reliever) and antipyretic (fever reducer) which also blocks the release of certain chemical messengers in the brain that cause pain and fever.
