Do self-administered this medicine at home. The dose and how often you get the injection depends on what you are taking it for and the severity of the symptoms. Your doctor will decide the exact dose, hence follow your doctor's advice. It is not given for more than 3 treatments, make sure do not exceed the treatment duration.The most common side effects of this medicine include injection site reaction, headache, nausea, vomiting, increased sugar level, and low blood pressure (dizziness). In Premature Labor : Xtan 6.75mg Injection prevents abnormal contractions of uterus muscles and relaxes them. It widens blood vessels to help increase blood flow and improve circulation to the smooth muscles of the uterus. This prevents premature labor and miscarriage. It is given as an injection by a doctor or nurse and should not be self-administered. Follow your doctor�s instructions carefully to get maximum benefit.

How Xtan Injection works Xtan 6.75mg Injection works by blocking the action of a natural hormone called Oxytocin. It is hormone which causes the uterus (womb) to contract. Blocking the action of Oxytocin helps to delay the premature birth of the baby.
Alcohol
Consult your Doctor: Please consult your doctor regarding the safety of consuming alcohol with Xtan 6.75mg Injection . Experts have not found evidence of alcohol impairing the effectiveness of the medicine.
Pregnancy
Xtan 6.75mg Injection is unsafe to use during pregnancy as there is definite evidence of risk to the developing baby. However, the doctor may rarely prescribe it in some life-threatening situations if the benefits are more than the potential risks. Doctor consultation is advised.
Breast feeding
Xtan 6.75mg Injection is unsafe to use during breastfeeding. Data suggests that the drug may cause toxicity to the baby.
Driving

Kidney

Xtan 6.75mg Injection helps delay premature birth of your baby. It is given as an injection into a vein followed by infusions (drip). During treatment with Xtan 6.75mg Injection, your contractions and your unborn baby�s heart rate may be monitored.
