How Exospas Plus Tablet works Exospas Plus 10mg/325mg Tablet is a combination of two medicines: Hyoscine butylbromide and Paracetamol, which relieves abdominal pain and cramps. Hyoscine butylbromide is an anti-cholinergic which works by relaxing the muscles in your stomach and gut (intestine). It stops sudden muscle contractions (spasms), thereby relieving cramps, pain, bloating, and discomfort. Paracetamol is an analgesic (pain reliever) which works by blocking the release of certain chemical messengers that cause pain.

Alcohol

Unsafe: Avoid consuming alcohol with Exospas Plus 10mg/325mg Tablet as it is deemed unsafe.

Pregnancy

Exospas Plus 10mg/325mg Tablet may be unsafe to use during pregnancy. Although there are limited studies in humans, animal studies have shown harmful effects on the developing baby. Breast feeding

Driving

Doctor consultation is advised.However, the use of Exospas Plus 10mg/325mg Tablet is not recommended in patients with severe liver disease and active liver disease.

If a dose of Exospas Plus 10mg/325mg Tablet is missed, take it promptly. However, if your next dose is approaching, skip the missed dose and resume your regular schedule. Avoid doubling the dose.

You have been prescribed Exospas Plus 10mg/325mg Tablet to relieve abdominal pain and cramps. Drink 6 to 8 full glasses of water daily to help prevent constipation while you are taking this medicine. Do not use a stool softener (laxative) without first asking your doctor. Dry mouth may occur as a side effect. Frequent mouth rinses, good oral hygiene, increased water intake and sugarless candy may help. Do not take Exospas Plus 10mg/325mg Tablet at least 2 hours before or after taking other medicines as it may interact with other medicines.
